Ruma is an image/text/link-collector app developed by my partner. It’s fairly simple: I can upload texts and images onto this platform and store it for personal use. It’s free of any commercial interest - read: data hungry companies and governments - because he owns it, and we are the two sole users of the app.

My ruma archive goes back to December 2020, when the app was first developed. The ruma app is the infrastracture to my artistic archive and the archive serves as the artistic and theoretical framework for my practice.

In my artist talks and workshops, I deep dive into the motivations for this archive and how it has helped me create a practice that goes beyond the Western eye, Western canon and Western ideas of art.
